My name is Aaliyah. I’m a Muslim girl living a strange concept.

I lived in London for most of my life, and as a child always wanted to live in a ‘big mansion in the countryside.’ So maybe I didn’t get the mansion with forty rooms, but I got the countryside.

Now instead of my outdoor excursions consisting of an umbrella and gloomy city streets, I wear a raincoat and a headscarf. And instead of buses and superstores, I live in a town with local shops.

I would love to share with you my experiences, small things and big. But most of all, I want other Muslim women to come out of the box and explore the British countryside.

I am person who tweets too much, a wannabe traveller, a writer for bahath.co and an artist.
